About us
The refugee support centre of Saxony (further called SFR) was founded on 14. September 1991 and is registered as charitable society. Societies, initiatives and individuals of the Free State of Saxony collaborate within this governing body. The common wish of every member is the commitment for the protection of refugees and human conditions of housing in Saxony.
The SFR takes part for the protectable interests of refugees and ensures public controls during the realisation of the procedure for granting the right of asylum and the law for the benefits of asylum seekers in Saxony.
The SFR is recording and publishing offences against human rights as well positive experiences which are worthy to be generalised. The SFR offers information material for current developments in this field of work monthly. The SFR also uses the information services of PRO ASYL and other refugee support centres while advising volunteers in individual cases.
The SFR initiates or attends activities on site, at the state level or Federal level in co-operation with other social groups.
The memebership of the SFR in the Pro Asyl organisation ensures the nationwide networking of its members.
